- Start: invite accommodation requests.
- Did you receive accommodation requests?
- If yes, professional captions were requested: Contact a vendor, or contact the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Coordinator at captioning@virginia.edu to set up professional services. For academic courses, the Coordinator can help set up services for the duration of the course. Continue to step #2.
- If no: Continue to step #2.
- Did you receive accommodation requests?
- Will you event take place online?
- If yes: During the event you’ll need to turn on Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR). Continue to step #3.
- If no: Continue to step #3.
- Will the event be recorded and made public?
- If yes: Make captions and transcript available for the video. See Post-Production section of captioning home page for guidance. (End of process.)
- If no: No further steps needed! (End of process.)
