The UVA Library is committed to supporting the broad, diverse needs of our community of scholars, teachers, and learners, and doing so sustainably. A sustainable investment is one that provides good value and aligns with our values. Commercial publishers’ “big deal” journal bundles are a prime example of unsustainable investments: too costly and bad for scholarship. So we are working to replace them with more strategic investments.
