  • Visit the ILS web page
  • Click on the First Time Users link
  • Choose Distance Education Student/SCPS

Please read instructions at the bottom of the ILS registration form under Users who live outside Charlottesville /Albemarle County area. Also, please be sure to list a “secure” address, where packages of books may be left if you’re not home.

SCPS students living within the Charlottesville/Albemarle area will need an Interlibrary Services (ILS) account to request books from other libraries, or to request books listed in VIRGO with an Ivy Annex location. Follow the steps listed above to register for an account. Please pay special attention to the instructions at the bottom of the page under Users who live inside the Charlottesville/Albemarle County area.

Improve Your Research

In addition to the online catalog, Virgo, the Library offers online subject guides as well as in-person help. All can point you toward the best resources for your research. Our list of databases and journal finder tools can also help you find specific articles, datasets, and more.
